tuhl: Yes, abortion is only ONE of MANY forms of birth control. I think the more appropriate way to put it would be, “Abortion should not HAVE to be used as a form of birth control.” Birth control (condoms, the pill, the shot, etc) should be affordable, readily available, and easily accessible to any woman who wants it. Simply put, if more women who want birth control have access to it, there would be less need for abortion. Along with that, when birth control fails, abortion should be as equally affordable, readily available, and easily accessible to any woman who wants one. I would love to live in a world where ALL women have access to birth control that is safe and effective and when taken correctly, works 99.9% of the time. I would love to live in a world where women don’t have face the fear of not being able to get an abortion if she wants one.
