Props to someone finally giving Zac Efron a role that is serious, adult, and doesn’t involve singing!! :o)

PS: The above comment is not meant to offend Zac Efron fans or discount his roles in the movie Charlie St. Cloud or 17 Again. Though both movies made quite a bit of money, they got poor reviews. Zac Efron was still being seen as “that kid from High School Musical.” In addition, he played a TEENAGER in both films. My remark was meant to be sarcastic, not offensive, and simply point out that FINALLY, Zac Efron will being playing an adult, in a movie with serious, REALISTIC subject matter. In addition, because Nikolas Sparks novels have a high success rate when made into movies, (see The Notebook and A Walk To Remember) this might help him finally transition from “that cute kid in HSM” to “amazing adult actor with potential career longevity.”
